What we can do for you

First impressions sell so why not have that unique selling point by showing a potential purchaser an aerial view of your property with drone photography. Not only can we supply photographs but also can provide an aerial video around your property (subject to conditions and regulations). We can provide digital footage so potential buyers can see the exact location of your property and its setting. Not only can we provide aerial photographs and videos to help in the sale or letting of a property but we can also carry out photography for aerial building surveys quicker and cheaper than the use of conventional methods.

Although based in Cornwall, Flightscapes are available for work throughout the South West and further afield if required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need a licence to fly a drone?

Yes. There are strict regulations about where and when we can fly a drone.
All our pilots hold a Permission for Commercial Operations issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Where can we fly?

We can fly in most areas subject to any specific air restrictions and the land owners permission for a take off and landing site.

Are Flightscapes insured?

As part of the CAA requirements, Flightscapes has full public liability insurance.

Can we fly in the wind and rain?

Flightscapes drones can fly in winds gusting up to 22mph. However, we do not fly in the rain as the water on the camera lens can spoil photographs and videos.

What happens in very hot or cold weather?

Our drones can fly in temperatures between -10°C and 40°C. Very cold weather can reduce the battery life so Flightscapes ensure that we carry enough batteries for the job.

What if we have bad weather on the day?

If the weather forecasts are not encouraging we will discuss the options with you in the 48 hours prior to the flight. If it is decided to keep to the planned day and we have bad weather, our pilot will wait on site as long as possible in the hope of a break in the weather. If we have to re-schedule due to weather, the booking deposit will be transferred to a new date.

Can the client see what is being photographed?

Yes. We stream the footage in real time to the pilot’s controller which allows the client to see what the camera is capturing as it is happening.

Can we fly close to buildings and people?

The answer is usually Yes. However, The CAA has some restrictions that all drone pilots must follow; for example:

• We are not permitted to fly within 50 metres of people unless we have their permission. (It is the same with buildings – we must have the owner’s permission)
• We are not permitted to take off or land within 30 metres of people unless we have their permission.

So, as long as we obtain the correct permissions, we can fly as close to buildings and people as is considered safe.
